Review of Saw:

Care for a mind fuck? Well you won't really find it here. Nowadays for the average movie goer, it's pretty hard to pull the wool over someone's eyes of what's going to happen. And even if you do manage to do so, it's hard to do it in such a way where to makes the viewer feels that they could actaully get it, piece the puzzle piece by piece, instead of tossing out a twist for the sake that "omfg we know, but you don't".

The worst offender of this was Ocean's 12, which threw in a twist SO out of left field, it's like they added an addition to the movie while the viewer was watching something else.

But for Saw it wasn't as blatent but it was alright. Overall it was a good film, although far too often it relied on music video cinematography to express some of the scarier moments. Unfortunately I have seen films that have disturbed me more and just blew my mind more, which is Old Boy.
